Raised in Linton, Indiana, Holly began cultivating her musical talents at an early age. With piano lessons and a Fisher-Price radio with microphone in hand, it was evident that Holly was on her way to becoming a vocal performer. “I can remember going around the house with that radio microphone singing Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It” all the time,” recalls Lynn. Yet, Holly’s public debut came at church when she sang “If I Were A Butterfly”—and she practiced for that song so much that she nearly lost her voice! Singing throughout her teenage years in Indiana, Holly soon became a seasoned veteran in performing, with performance credits including WTWO (Terre Haute, Indiana) Channel 2 News “Live at Five” television show, Nashville Follies Musical Theater (Nashville, Indiana), Mitchell Opry House (Mitchell, Indiana), and various musical theater productions, including the lead role in GREASE. These venues marked the starting point for Lynn—setting the stage for countless performances and achievements to come. |

Holly’s interest in Nashville, Tennessee, was sparked as a teenage contestant in several country music vocal competitions in the Music City, including Command Performance and Nashville Star Seek. After graduating in 1999 as the valedictorian of Linton-Stockton High School, Holly returned to Nashville to attend Belmont University. Holly graduated summa cum laude in May of 2003 from
Belmont, earning a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. While at Belmont, Holly was a member of several performing ensembles, such as the Belmont Chorale, Belmont POPS, and the Oratorio Chorus. Holly also became active in the music ministries at Belmont Heights Baptist Church as a soloist and choir member. She has also been a guest soloist at First Baptist Church (Nashville), as well as Springfield Grace Baptist Church. Holly was also named “Top School of Music Student”, as well as being named to the Dean’s List every semester during her collegiate career. Emerging on the Nashville music scene as a promising country vocalist, Holly has performed at the French Quarter Café, The Nashville Palace, Edgehill Studios, The Five Spot, and Long Hollow Jamboree. Holly has also appeared as a guest vocalist at The Sutler, The Second Fiddle, and Otter’s on Demonbreun Street. In March 2006, Holly was invited as a featured vocalist for a benefit concert for Habitat for Humanity, which was held at the legendary BB King’s Bar and Blues Club. Most recently, Holly has become a regular guest performer at the Nashville Cowboy Church—located in the historic Texas Troubadour Theatre. This service is broadcast into over 110 countries, reaching millions through WSM Radio, XM Satellite Radio, and WWCR (World Wide Country Radio). Even though Holly’s repertoire consists primarily of country music—ranging from traditional classics like “Crazy” to Martina McBride’s “Independence Day”—don’t be surprised by her versatile vocal abilities. “I’ve always tried to maintain a well-rounded lifestyle, so I often carry that idea into my music—so I also enjoy singing southern gospel, pop, rock, and adult contemporary songs in my shows.” With both classical and commercial training behind her powerful pipes, Holly has certainly been blessed with a versatile voice. Holly carries a deep sense of patriotism for both our country and our troops, and often conveys this through the singing of our National Anthem. After a recent National Anthem performance at Belmont University in Nashville, Holly was approached by country artist Vince Gill—who strongly commended her traditional, accapella performance of the anthem. Holly’s rendition of our National Anthem has earned her invitations to perform for the Indiana Pacers (NBA), the Memphis Grizzlies (NBA), and for Indianapolis 500 Qualification races (IRL). She has earned repeat invitations with Belmont University athletics, the Nashville Sounds (PCL, AAA—Milwaukee Brewers), and the Indianapolis Indians (AAA-Pittsburgh Pirates). In November of 2006, Holly had the distinct honor of singing for 2,000 troops of the 101st Airborne in a welcome home ceremony in Brentwood, TN. Lynn also gives her time and talent to her hometown of Linton, IN, by opening the Freedom Festival 4th of July parade every summer for nearly 40,000 people. With the release of her self titled CD (5/24/06), Holly’s hit song “Confused” (written by Kelly Garrett--Sony/ATV Tree Publishing/BMI) has impacted country radio on WRAY 98.1 in Princeton, IN. After “Confused” made its radio debut, Holly was invited to sing live on the air for their “Roots of Country” radio show—showcasing the hits of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. But no matter where Holly Lynn performs, her purpose is to impact the lives of those within her audience. Lynn strives to make a positive influence and lift the spirits of her fans through the gift of a song—regardless if it is an emotional ballad or a country anthem. That’s what Holly Lynn MUSIC is all about. |
