Compelling vocals, emotional honesty, a sassy attitude, and a classy look.
Enliven these traits on stage with an aggressive, energetic stage performer,
and you’ve experienced a musical performance by Holly Lynn.

There are few young singers in the music industry today that can successfully pay tribute and honor the music of the past, while embracing the music of the present—all in one performance. Whether it is a country, gospel, or patriotic performance, Holly incorporates the old with the new, for a classic brand of performance style like none other. With a vast repertoire that ranges from country standards and traditional hymns, to country pop and contemporary Christian hits, Holly’s shows have been pleasing audience members in churches, country cafés, and stadiums from Indiana to Tennessee!

Hailing from Linton, Indiana, Holly began cultivating her musical talents at an early age. With private music instruction and participation in school band and choir, Holly gained valuable performing experience throughout her teenage years. Knowing that she wanted to make a career of music one day, Lynn also participated in musical theatre, drama, sang on live television, and gave benefit concerts for local churches or charities. Growing up in a small town allowed Holly to develop the musical “roots” that eventually became her “wings” to pursue her dreams in Music City—Nashville, Tennessee.
After graduating as the valedictorian of her high school class, Holly moved to Nashville to attend prestigious Belmont University. Holly graduated summa cum laude, earning a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. While at Belmont, Holly was a member of several performing ensembles, while earning honors as the “Top School of Music Student” and was named to the Dean’s List every semester.

With classical and commercial training behind her powerful pipes, Holly has been able to establish a presence in both country and gospel music in Nashville. Holly’s music ministry has allowed her to spread the gospel throughout churches in Middle Tennessee and to thousands of listeners through her performances on the Nashville Cowboy Church—located in the historic Texas Troubadour Theatre. This service is broadcast into over 110 countries, reaching millions through WSM Radio, XM Satellite Radio, and WWCR (World Wide Country Radio). Holly’s latest album, “Holly Lynn Live,” was recorded through live performances on NCC, and includes traditional hymns, patriotic, and Christmas music.

On the country scene, Holly has recently developed a “Women of Country” review show that highlights the hits of women in country music, past and present. From Kitty Wells to Faith Hill, this show is a favorite among tourists in Nashville. Holly has performed in Nashville venues such as Edgehill Studios, Rudi’s Country Music Café, The Nashville Palace, BB Kings, and The Sheraton Hotel.

As the daughter of a Vietnam veteran, and the granddaughter of a WWII veteran, Holly carries a deep sense of patriotism for our country, our veterans, and our troops who currently serve. With her versatile singing abilities, Holly is a highly sought after vocalist for the National Anthem at sporting events and patriotic ceremonies. After a Belmont basketball game, Holly was approached by country artist Vince Gill—who strongly commended her traditional, accapella performance of the anthem. Holly’s rendition has earned her repeat invitations to perform for the Indiana Pacers (NBA), Memphis Grizzlies (NBA), Indianapolis 500 Qualification races (IRL), Nashville Sounds (PCL, AAA—Milwaukee Brewers), and the Indianapolis Indians (AAA-Pittsburgh Pirates). In early 2009, Holly had the distinct honor of singing for 3,000 Indiana National Guard members at Lucas Oil Stadium to welcome them home from a recent tour of duty. In May, Holly provided patriotic music for the Stones River National Battlefield and Cemetery Memorial Day Ceremony in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Even with the musical “wings” that have carried Lynn to Nashville and beyond in pursuit of her dreams, she still values the importance of the “roots” that were established in her hometown. Each year, Holly returns home to Linton to join legendary Roy Clark and friends on stage to perform in a show that raises scholarship funds for local high schools in the county. “The Roy Clark show is one that I look forward to each year-- knowing that I can help keep a strong tradition alive and help send students to college from my hometown area. I am truly grateful to have been one of those scholarship recipients, and performing in the show is one way I can show my gratitude,” says Lynn. When Holly’s tour schedule permits, you can often find her singing at various churches, festivals, and parades in her home state.

Holly will end 2009 on a busy note, as she is involved in several upcoming projects. In September, TV taping will wrap up on a Christmas special called “Snowflake Symphony 2009” in which Holly was invited to participate from fellow singer Erica Lane. Consisting of traditional Christmas songs and carols, Holly is featured in a trio and several small acapella ensembles. The taping will be aired on various Christian networks including JC TV, FamilyNet TV, and Daystar. Holly will also join Ralph Stanley and others on stage at The Nashville Palace to pay tribute to singer and songwriter Keith Whitley in a memorial concert in October. Over Thanksgiving weekend, Holly will perform her annual “Happy Hollydays” Christmas show at the Boot City Opry in Terre Haute, IN.
